With over forty years of experience in leadership, pastoral care, and mental health, Gerry Tonn has dedicated his life to empowering individuals and organizations to lead with purpose and resilience. His journey spans roles as a pastor, professor, and mental health consultant, blending his deep expertise in theology, psychology, and leadership to bring practical, compassionate guidance to leaders and communities.
Gerry holds Master’s and Doctoral degrees in the fields of theology, psychology, and leadership, and has taught psychology to undergraduate students at Master's Bible College and Seminary for over 15 years. He has a unique ability to blend his academic knowledge with real-world experience, offering a balanced perspective on both the spiritual and emotional aspects of leadership. As a trusted consultant, he works closely with pastors in the Western Ontario District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, helping them navigate pastoral care and restoration needs.
Beyond his consulting work, Gerry teaches over 20 mental health seminars a year, including for the Mental Health Commission of Canada, equipping leaders with the tools they need to thrive in both their personal and professional lives.
Gerry’s relational approach is at the heart of his work. He understands firsthand the challenges that come with leadership and mental health and brings both wisdom and empathy to every conversation. Whether through his seminars, personal mentorship, or leadership direction, Gerry is passionate about helping leaders grow, restore balance, and lead with strength and clarity. He and his wife Elaine enjoy family life with their two daughters, two sons-in-law, and five grandchildren.
